Advanced Media Training
Our Advanced Media Training goes well beyond the basics and includes additional instruction and more intense practical exercises in developing the communications agenda and media strategies for a variety of interview situations.
Scenarios include the remote/satellite interview, the hostile reporter, the ambush, and responding to multiple reporters. Participants are taught how to prepare an effective media agenda and deliver it with clarity and credibility without incurring liability.

Using Social Media
The traditional media – print, TV, radio – are no longer the only game in town. We also teach how to utilize the social media to convey your message to the media and to the public, how to ensure fair and accurate coverage by the media, and how to make appearances on the local media easier without leaving your office.
Video Taped Interviews
Scenarios range from normal television and print interviews to hostile media and include the ambush, and satellite / remote interviews. Exercises and videotaped interviews are designed to help you develop the media message, control the TV jitters, and deliver your message with confidence, credibility and authority.

Instruction Based on Experience
Instruction is by Michael Drake and other experienced media professionals. Michael has conducted hundreds of interviews as a reporter, public affairs host, producer and news anchor. He has also been in front of the cameras for scores of interviews (both live and taped) as a public information officer and media spokesperson for various organizations. He has appeared in every television market in California as well as several overseas cities, and repeatedly on the major American networks including CNN, Fox News, NBC, ABC, PBS, et al. He has also planned and conducted several news conferences and served as the principal spokesman in crisis situations.
